The Comments Shocked Me

Today on social media I saw this promo for a WNBA League Pass.

The WNBA has 12 teams playing 36 games each.

The League Pass makes it easy to watch favorites play on your own schedule.

The women who play for the WNBA are amazing athletes.

  • They are fierce competitors.

  • Some can make 3-point shots practically from half-court.

  • All play at a fast pace strategically as a team.

I decided to check out the comments.

  • Every single one was from a male.

  • They slammed the athletes in nasty ways.

  • Blasted the WNBA with almost hate and disgust.

I was shocked.

It was obvious they never watched a WNBA game.

I  couldn’t help but wonder where the anger came from?

  • Why did they need to comment?

  • Did it bother them that women could play so well?

  • Or that the women might be stronger, more skilled than them?

To me, it was a message from the universe about how important it is for us as women to believe in each other.

  • To lift each other up.

  • To break free together from outdated beliefs such as the need to dim your lights (or athletic skills) to make men happy.

Makes me think of successful women who want a more delicious life…how have you supported another woman today?
