Flying High at 103

Fire

It seems I picked up a little bug this weekend.

  • My energy was MIA on Sunday.
  • Felt absolutely exhausted.
  • Was grumpy.

It got worse over night.

  • I started doing “I think I’m going to die” cardio.
  • Running to the bathroom.
  • Sweating through the sheets.

By Monday, I was a hot mess – literally.

  • Chills were my new best friend.
  • In spite of flannel pants, double sweaters and triple blankets.
  • On a gorgeous, warm, sunny day.

By late afternoon, my temperature broke 103.

  • It was getting scary.
  • I rarely get sick or take drugs.
  • James offered to take me for medical help.

Instead, I contacted Dr. Mom – AKA my brilliant cousin.

  • I shared what was going on.
  • Asked for help breaking my fever.
  • She told me to take two Tylenol.

It was like magic.

  • Within a half hour, I felt some relief.
  • Within two hours, my temperature finally broke.
  • Chills gone, I was a relieved, sweaty mess.

What I learned from soaring beyond 103.

  • I can take the heat.
  • Taking the heat earned me no reward.
  • I didn’t have to take all the heat.

Makes me think of successful women who want to live Delicious Lives..
. how much heat do you needlessly tolerate?
